I'm in Vancouver. Flight cancelled and never in this situation before. I was supposed to fly to Heathrow and then to Dublin.

Does anyone know what options I might have?

I better not miss Mammy's Christmas turkey........

Well short of hiring a powerboat you're just gonna have to hope you can get a plane before Christmas.

Call the airline. They may be able to re-route you to another carrier, or re-book you on a flight over the next few days.

I'm trying to ring BA and the message is saying "due to high amount of calls i cant be connected" grrr. Anyways, I was thinking it would be easy enough to get home if I went via New York or somewhere because dublin airport seems to be ok.

If I book myself with another airline can I get a refund from BA?

    Move from Commuting & Transport

Heathrow and Gatwick are disrupted by bad weather. Is there another airport they fly to?

Yeah ,it seems Heathrow is choca block with stranded passengers and approx half a million people in uk have had their travel arrangement messed up because of the weather .So as it stands OP , flying direct to Dublin if possible might be your best option and you'll have to look at terms of condition /insurence on your flight itinerary to see about any refund from BA

might be possible to rebook you on Cathay to JFK and American to Dublin if BA wanted to free up your seat. I'm going Toronto-Heathrow-Cork on the 23rd/24th which is a bit nerve wracking at the mo' :)

I went up to the airport and I'm going via Amsterdam to Dublin on Wednesday. sweet. Dowlingm if I was you I'd keep an eye on the weather and your flight status regularly on the Heathrow website because the quicker you are to realise your flight is cancelled the more seats there are on other flights. I was about 2 people away from being on a flight through america tomorrow.
