Has anyone a suggestion for what to do for an indoor warm up for a weights session if you only have a small living room and no stationary bike?

Bodyweight versions of the weights you plan to do. No need for a bike or treadmill ever when it comes to weights especially if indoor and and you are already 'warm'.

This makes you look a bit stupid, but it works. Get a good sturdy chair. Standing beside the chair step up onto the chair and then step back down. Repeat, alternating legs. Five minutes later you'll be puffing and panting red in the face and ready for (almost) anything.

    Burpees

And I don't mean standing on the mat repeatedly belching, I mean
    Burpees :)

+1 to BW.BW versions is a good way, basically anything that will mobilize and Warm up the joints you will use in the exercises

Mens health mag mentioned that jumping jacks are a great way of warming up indoors.

Thanks for the suggestions. Any more?
I like the lunge variations one, it seems like a workout in itself though.

Good point. What is the purpose of a warmup? To get warm or to prepare you for your session? If its to just get warm and get you all hot and sweaty, then maybe get a nice little seat fitted to your hotpress and settle in there for a half and hour, pre-session. If its to prepare you for the session then maybe look to do something that will do that, both mentally and physically. The warmup you do should always be based very closely on the type of session you plan to do.

I hear ya. I was thinking of doing half n half, running on the spot and the lunges. That could be a good idea right?

if doing weights you should deffo do something similar to what the main session is as part of your warm up.
    I would suggest...
couple of light dumbells....1kg ish and do 8/10 reps' of 10 or so exercises such as..shoulder press, bicep curls, side raises, front raises etc...

if you don't have light dumbells, then no biggie, equally valid with nothing

part of a non specific warm up first, i would do the likes of burpees (great exercise), jumping jacks, lunges, pressups and also...to vary it, instead of burpees sometime..8 point body builder (see link below)
