This lad proved to be a bit of cute whore, we picked him up on the lamp about three stubble fields out on the side of a hill, we flicked on the rabbit distress call and in he came like a train, as entered the field that we were in he stopped and sat looking at us about 300/400 yards out, a bit of hand squeling but no move. we turned down the caller left it on the ground and we started to walk in, at this point he started to move to us we stopped he stopped, i decided to take the shot, but when i to take it he was gone, next minute we picked him again crawling towards us, we had to move to get a shot at him cause he was hiding just below the brow of the hill. i decided to white light him as we had problems with the red light, we could see he was actual hiding behind a pile of loose straw and was looking around it as well as over it as well he was using the brow of the hill, i took up position about 150 yards away and waited for him to give me a target, he seemed to raise his head which reveled his chest so i pulled the trigger and rest is history. from when we picked him up to when he was shot lasted 45 mins.

After the shot we arrived down beside him to our amazement he was still alive you can see from the photo the mess the .223 50 gr bullet made but this lad was hardy very ardy indee. Note the lovely black socks on him.
