In case you are blind as well as crippled, I'll just point out there's a sticky above showing how you can nominate your favourite photo of the year for the forum, of which some of these photos might hopefully feature. I love the one of Jase and Peter on Annacurra, the determined look and focus while racing is such a contrast to the usual smiles from two of the most laid-back guys you could meet.

We tried for a recreation this year but I can't find them again at the moment.

Yeah, the link is for nominations, and we'll do up a poll so people can vote for the most nominated (does anybody click on stickies anymore? . Everyone has to dress up in a tux at their computers the night HM announces the winners.

*Edit* Just wanted to highlight that nominations are being taken, and a poll of the favourites will go up soon. If I came across as scolding SJ for having the audacity to open a thread, sorry!:o I'm all for pics of runners and hills

Would be worth starting an A/R/T photo tread from January for just that purpose. When it came to thinking of photos for nomination this year there wasn't a single place to look.

Indeed. Although, usually the ones nominated are of high class.

I'm looking at "photos of where you run" for thread of the year, if only because it makes me smile to think of the track guys reading it with jelousy:D

In case this will be the best place for them, my favorite photo of 2010 is this one, it just sums up what pacing someone should be all about. I'm jealous of Robin for getting well under his 3 hour target, but the pacer Kiwirunner was at those sort of times two short years ago, and look at him now!

Ignoring the fact that it is me in the picture... I completely agree with your reasons for saying it is a good one. Apart from the fact I had to pay for the high res version from expensiveracephotos.com I prefer it to the one of me going under the clock, although I did mess that shot up by messing with the watches at the line.

I may not be as prolific a photo taker as previous years, but might be an idea to have a sister thread to the "Photos of where you run" called "Photos wot I took of people running" or something for this year.

Not for spamming thousands of pics of one particular race, just for your best shot from each race. Then next year this "Favourite photo of the year" thread might be a bit easier.
