What to do when injured thread

I'm currently injured so can't run. Can't cycle either as the roads are treacherous and I don't have one of the indoor cycle thingys. Not am I in a gym (can't stand them).

How does a man keep sane and keep fit in the circumstances? Any advice from experienced heads. Not medical advice mods!

I've been trying to do exercises to keep the core working but this will only get me so far. Whenever I'm fit enough to run I'd like to be able to do so without collapsing after 2k.

Oh, and I'm a terrible swimmer so swimming isn't really an option for me. :-(

Hope it clears up soon Mick.
My last groin injury I found I could walk, you have a treadie so there you go - 60mins walking is better than nothing. Or get MacGyver (DoNot) over and I'm sure you can hook the Giant up to the treadmill

@bb. I think my treadmill is a bit short for my bikes. Good clip though.

Take it as forced rest and plan next year. Sometimes an injury can be a guilt free reason to take a break.

I dont know if its an option giving your injury but jogging in the pool helped me keep partly sane earlier in the year when I wasn't running. I didn't use any flotation device myself but that might suit better. Although I'm currently out again due to more injuries and I haven't been able to find anything this time myself that I can do comfortably. Its making me increasingly unfit, fatter and driving me up the wall, but I'm hopeful of getting back soon.

Got out and did a bit on the bike on the main road, taking care with the obvious icy patches. Was good to be able to put some effort into something even for a short while. Wasn't totally without discomfort though but thats probably to be expected no matter what, even with walking around.
