As part of Causeway Coast Adventure Racing’s ongoing commitment to introducing new people to the sport of adventure racing we are giving away 5 free team entries for our next event planned for Bangor on the 8th January 2011.

To be in with a chance of getting one of these places you must email Ivan via the email address on our website.

Free entries will be awarded only to those who have never taken part in a CCAR event before and will be on a first come first served basis.

Good on you for getting people involved and marketing. Hope the weather picks up and all goes well.

Marketing maybe, but then these events are run by a club so we don't stand to make anything. We would rather just see more folk moving over to this type of event, Boards.ie has a large number taking part in solo multisport events such as GFW, ROAR and WAR and as such we are giving them the chance to try an Adventure Race for free.

The CCAR events are aimed at those new to the sport, [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]the CCAR series has offered teams an excellent test of their fitness but were also aimed at helping "would-be racers" to develop skills and endurance across all disciplines such as navigating, kayaking, off road running and mountain biking in preparation for potentially having a crack at the bigger, more challenging races like The Beast, The Cooley Raid or those larger events abroad such as the Adidas TERREX or the Abu Dahbi Challenge.

To date 2 places have been given away free to new teams so we have 3 remaining places, to get your free place just email Ivan.

Nice one. People should be jumping at this offer. Far more fun and interesting than most of the other so-called adventure races.
