    Hello all.

I broke my usb modem earlier. I have a Dell inspiron laptop, it can take a sim card under the battery. How do I get the 3 sim to work with the laptops modem. Its urgent. I am using my phone to do this...:o:o

Bit late now :o but in case you need to do this in future all you do is make a dial up connection, there are a few little bits you need like the number and the AT commands for the APN but its still quite easy. If I wasn't quite so lazy I'd screen shot it all for you but I don't need to as 3 have all the instuctions you need at http://www.three.ie/nbs/support.htm. It takes a bit of finding but scroll down to the second scroll box on the page headed Error 619 then scroll through and find the section that says Manual dial-up connection and follow the instructions.

Thanks William. I got it sorted with a new modem. Actually I used a Vodafone modem first and the 3 sim worked no bother in it. I tried the VF broadband. Lord god I thought 3 was bad. This was worse than useless. I sorted all my problems aswell with 3 by getting the router. Happy xmas lad:):)
