So Im a single person working in Dublin.

I normally take home around 2500 per month after tax (my salary itself is 36750)

In my December wage - including my bonus - my total pay was 8082.22 and ive lost 3210 of that in Tax. Last year the bonus wasn't as big but I took home a lot more(even though this bonus was significantly higher)

    Does that seem accurate?

    Seems a little high.
Normally you pay tax at 20% on €3,033 and the balance at 41% with a monthly credit of €305. So it would around €2,400 normally.

taking home 2500 normally seem fairly high to me.
maybe it was a correction on that if you are not supposed to have that many credits?

the total seems about right, though.
    (similar figures to me.)

    3033 * 20% = 606 - 338 credit (paye, single, rent)
    8082-3033* 41% = 2070
    Levy 2% = 161
PRSI say 8% = 646, will be lower due to cut off of 127 a week etc

    total PAYE = 2338
    Total: 3145
