    He sure does.

I think this is the fight where Hopkin's age finally shows. He was gassed against Jones after six rounds. Pascal fights at a very high pace, so unless Hopkins can slow the pace down I can't see him lasting the distance.

Hopkins will probably prove me wrong now that i've written him off.

It's a toss up between Pascal & Tim Bradley for best body in boxing. Hopkins looks awful though. I know there aren't too many Light Heavyweight Ethiopians, but B-Hop looks like one

how do you see this fight going?

how do you see this fight going?

It'll be tight enough I reckon. I think Pascal will win, but it will be a Calzaghe style victory, nothing comprehensive. The fact that the fight is in Canada sways it in Pascal's favour, the fans will be going wild for everything he does and it's likely to influence the judges scoring. There could be four rounds for Hopkins, four rounds for Pascal and four 50/40 rounds, with Pascal getting maybe 3 of them

Wouldn't be surprised to see a Split/Majority Decision

What time are Pascal/Hopkins in the ring?

Pascal will win this easily, the best Hopkins will do is try to grab and hold and a load of spoiling. Could be a TKO tonight although Hopkins experience could have him making the final bell when hopefully he retires after an amazing career.
I would be absolutley stunned if Hopkins wins this. Pascal is no Pavlik and Father time has finally caught up with Hopkins.

Paulie Malignaggi's return coming up next. I actually like Paulie, I think he's a great pro, tremendous heart. I mean if you look at his record, his only defeats are to a prime Miguel Cotto(who he fought with a broken jaw), Ricky Hatton & Amir Khan. All top top fighters. I don't count that BS hometown decision against Diaz as a loss btw. He's very skilled, and still very fast, although a lot of people reckon his legs are giving out on him a bit and obviously he can't punch for sh1t.
I don't see anything coming of his move to the Welterweight division though, a better decision would have been a move to Lightweight(if his body could take it). There was every chance of him winning a world title at LW, which isn't exactlly "stacked", but I just don't see it happening at WW where his lack of power will be even more evident.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

B hop down in the first!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 253 ✭✭pbffan

Not to sure about that KD, Hopkins was edging it up to that point

    10-8 Pascal though I guess

that should not have been ruled a knockdown.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 253 ✭✭pbffan

    Hopkins' round

    19-18 Pascal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

That was a little naughty. I have a feeling Hopkins is going to try to make this dirty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 253 ✭✭pbffan

Now that was a legit Knockdown, 10-8 Pascal
Hopkins could have been DQ'd there, threw punches for at least 5 seconds after the bell

    29-26 Pascal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Hopkins bashing him after the bell!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,380 ✭✭✭✭nacho libre

Of course he will be because he's losing. he did the same against Calzaghe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,068 ✭✭✭Bodhisopha

Hopkins round. KD pretty much the same as the first.

Hopkins will try and start headbutting. the ref spotted the punch behind the head the second time around.
