Now this is a strange one, my ex and I broke up in April...now I ended it, but we have still stayed in contact (ya go on go on start shouting about how this is so unfair yadda yadda yadda!) we stayed in contact because we are friends, we just email now and again. Now he has a family wedding coming up, does not get on with them, but has to go to this, and has asked me if ill go along to keep him company.

do i go? is it wrong? am I a horrible person if I do? i think i know you will say...oh he will try to get me back or something .... i honestly have no idea if this is the case or not, to me he just finds this sitautions really uncomfortable and would like an emergency person to talk to. Give me clarity people !

    please ? :)

    1) He doesn't have to go if he doesn't get on with these people
    2) He most certainly doesn't have to ask his ex to go keep him company

It's quite simple really. Politely decline the invitation and leave him to get on with it himself. That way you are guaranteed no drama or anything like that at all.

Keep it simple. Just say no

Agree as above - whether ye are friends or not, a wedding along with the drinking/travelling/staying somewhere is probably just asking for trouble. If ye were 'just friends' and really really in the 'friends zone' I don't think you would be asking for advice (no offence intended btw).

You haven't mentioned how you feel about him.

TBH - this is one that's probably best given a miss. It's great that you've stayed friends. But if you don't have romantic feelings for him, you need to make sure that romantic situations don't arise.
