Hello, I was wondering if there was any way to rip DVDs on the computer? I've been trying to do it, but I haven't been able to so far. Is there any software I might need to get and would it be expensive? Any help would we great :D

If you're talking about your own private DVDs of weddings, funerals and such, then you should try DVDFab HD Decrypter. It is free for the basic ripping function.

There's a program called Handbrake that will do that for you + it's free and for Windows, OSX and Ubuntu

    I suggest:
Download AnyDVD and let it run in the background.
Download DVD Decrypter and rip all files to your hard drive.

Once you've done that, you'll probably want to encode the video with something like Auto Gordian Knot or HandBrake.

I find DVDshrink quite good for all your personal funeral DVDs.

Who stores their funeral DVDs in a crypt? Yes, it does.

I don't know if you are allowed discuss how to rip commerical DVDs, circumventing the copy protection might be a grey legal area.

But nowadays many people make DVDs of their own home movies so these apps are handy for backing them up.

Some, but you won't need that functionality for personal funeral movies
