There's been loads of talk of him making a return to the ring of late following his appearence at Tribute to the Troops. He's expected to make a statement later today about his future.
Shawn Michaels has posted the following on his Twitter account:

"Sorry, very busy day & tomorrow as well. I will upload a video friday regarding my future with the WWE. Take care all."

Follow more of Shawn Michaels’ tweets on Twitter @ ShawnMichaels_.

There's been rumour that Vince would like to have him at Mania to be a special guest referee. And according to numorous sources he could ref Taker's match at Mania.

There's also been talk of having HBK as the mystery GM which wouldn't make much sense but I think he could play the role perfect just like he did when he was commisioner Michaels.

I know he's got a new DX DVD in the works so I'd definately expect him to make some sort of return. And I know everyone would like to see him in the ring again as he's still one of the best performers around.

So would you like to see HBK back in the WWE again? Whether it be main eventing or putting over younger guys, or would you like to see him back just for one final match? I think it's safe to say that none of us would like to see a DX reunion once again!

I doubt HBK'll cave and come back so soon. I can't imagine he'd recant his word so quickly (it's been, what, 8 months since Mania?). Coming back as the Mystery GM is horrible -- for Shawn. The GM shouldn't be a wrestler, because "hiding behind a laptop" makes him a huge coward. I guess they could explain it that Shawn was at home tweeting, but it would trivialize just how important ol' HBK is.

Coming back to ref a match sucks bad too. Shawn deserves better. If/when he comes back for a match it should be a really big deal. And sticking him with Taker again? *yawn* wow WWE Creative should be fired for shopping that boring/the same idea around.

IMO he should be gone until at least WM28. Well, we'll see.

Angles like the Nexus invasion could not happen if the old guard (Shawn, HHH, Batista etc) were still on the roster. WWE need to look forward, not come running to the 40+ when things get hard. Just accept the low buyrate and build for the future.

This is WWF/E, the land where stars are made, not go to die like WCW, right?

Have him back as a guest host to promote his DVD then Sheamus can take him out also and make his feud with HHH much more intense

For those that don't have 7 min of time to spend listening to HBK ramble here's the summary
HBK and WWE has agreed that HBK will be available to WWE for support but will not wrestle; nothing beyond that they may cooperate in the future has been agreed.

it is way too soon for him to come back in any capacity

I couldn't agree more. He needs to be away for a long time for us to get truly excited about a return, and for it to mean something -- WWE's still the same place he left 8 months ago. His return means that another younger star won't get that place, and it sounds like he understands that completely. I like how he squashed the crap GM gimmick, as it would be hugely diminishing his status in WWE.

(lol, look at Bret's entry into WCW.....the enforcer and anti-screwjob guy at Starrcade 97 lol.....way to squash his superstar aura!)
