+ 1 if anyone gets one in Blanch, Ill be going there tomorrow

I find the products really good; love the smell and they don't dry our my skins which is saying something as I have dry skin a lot of the time. So goos you could almost eat them.

The lip gloss is fab too, it has cayenne pepper I think which plumps your lips and gives you a real tingling feeling!

I bought one in the small Boots on Henry street at about 5 yesterday.
There were only two left, but I'm assuming they have more stock!

On my way up there, I saw about twenty people carrying the bag around, so it's definitely flying out of shops!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,005 ✭✭✭✭Toto Wolfcastle

There were loads in Blanch about an hour ago. They didn't have any in there yesterday so they obviously only put them out today. There were loads of people walking around with them though so I reckon they'll sell out quickly.

    http://cosmetic-candy.com/bargain-alert-soap-glorys-big-thrill-giant-hatbox/

I think it was€30 aswell; but they had far less stock of them so everybody was racing around trying to get their hands on them:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,954 ✭✭✭✭Larianne

Last year it was €25. A ridiculous amount of stuff in the hatbox. :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

Sure most of that stuff is in the tote bag this year! I also love the actual box the stuff comes in, it'll be great for storing shoes :D

Adit: although I wish the tote box had more face stuff, I need some cleanser

Think it was 25 euro. The panic for them last year was crazy :)

I thought Boot's Christmas deal this year was the Gok Wan gift set which I don't think is great at all but I saw some women going mad for that last week in Boots. Thankfully this year's S&G set is a lot nicer than that! :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,252 ✭✭✭✭Madame Razz

So it WAS 25euro!! I thought that initially, but himself convinced me otherwise:D

They were nicer than this years; but this years edition is still lovely.

We bought a load of them last year; queued outside Boots in Galway from 7.30am to catch their second delivery of them. Sad:o

TONS in Liffey Valley today, really want to get it for myself but won't so close to Christmas in case I get anything similar, great deal though!:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 30,731 ✭✭✭✭princess-lala

None in either Boots in Blanch today! Millions in Liffey Valley though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭phasers

I think liffey valley have a few thousand in stock, a girl there told me they have a daily target of 1000 sales!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,252 ✭✭✭✭Madame Razz

    30k a day alone in those giftsets:eek:

    Bloody hell...

I actually think that, although it isn't packaged aswell as last years, it's actually a better deal in the sense that you get far more fullsize products than in last years hatbox.

From S&G point of view they really are a great sales tool tho, they can expose their brand to so many women with these sets who otherwise may never try their products; just look how much the S&G sections have grown in all of the Boots in the country over the past year; and I'm sure that's largely becuase the popularity of the brand has developed. These sets really work wonders for the S&G profile.

Its definitely a great sales ploy on their behalf. But, its a funny thing. Us girls know what is and isnt good/nice products. The amount of stuff in Boots for sale at the minute is ridiculous, even Beyonces Heat perfume set with major TV advertising is on sale and i wouldnt go near it. I dunno, the S and G stuff ticks all my boxes tbh and i dont know why haha..but i love it :D

Although, tried Donnybrook and Blanch Boots this w/end and didnt get a set.Heres hopin Santy has been listenin ;)

I agree anniehoo, there's just something about the s&g stuff. Love it but wouldn't really have taken much notice before last years Hat Box went on sale. Now I'm addicted!! Its just so girlie and nice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,079 ✭✭✭dancingqueen

I got mine on Friday, I'm sorry now I didn't get one for my Mam aswell. I love the stuff, having showers with all the scrubs and lotions and potions afterwards! :)

Hopefully Charlestown still have a few I'll get her one after work.

I actually went and bought their face wash after using the scrub from the box on Friday because it was so nice... and it seems lovely on my skin so far..

Got two in the Roselawn shopping centre, really happy with it. One for me and one for my mum. They had about 20 out. There was none in the Blanch centre

They had a big palette of them inside the door, and more of them down in the gifts section beside their photography area. If you ask them I'm sure they will give you the heads up as to when their next delivery of them is; I'm sure if you got in early enough on that day you would get your hands on one no problem:)

I was in Liffey Valley about 10.30 this morning and there were loads, in fact a whole display of them, so I picked one up. Went back at lunchtime and were all gone.

Seen people coming out carrying 3 and 4 at a time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,225 ✭✭✭fillefatale

Still available in Boots Sligo. Texted my Dad and he picked one up for me, I think €30 is better value than the £25 here, plus I have no money!

It's a loss leader but it's also a little bit sneaky on Boots' part as there are a lot of S&G Christmas packs in the £20-25 range which are an absolute rip off - I almost bought what I thought was the tote bag pack yesterday but I realised it was just a couple of travel sized (or not much bigger than travel sized) products that in no way came close to being worth £20.

I'm sure a lot of people will have bought the wrong S&G bag in error.

I don't think it's at all sneaky on Boots behalf, the S&G gift packs have the products listed very clearly on the label. It's not really Boots fault if people buy the wrong product! As for the gift sets normally being a rip off, I think you could say that about every shop. The likes of The Body Shop and Lush always are more expensive for the gift sets than if you bought the items seperatly. You're paying for the convenience and the attractive packaging.

The S&G Tote bag (and the hat box last year) are tremendous value. The products are excellent quality and the packaging kooky and attractive.

I'm gutted I didn't make an effort to get to a Boots over the weekend, just can't face the Christmas crowds!

I asked my bf for the big set as he got it for me last year and it was brilliant but the wrong soap and glory set is under the tree (I checked the bin for the receipt and its a pretty crap set with loads of mini sized items that cost him €24). Im gutted - checked boots in Jervis and Henry street yesterday but no luck - I could probably return the smaller kit if I got myself the big one.
