No, it's not a thread about GAA movies (Clash of the Ash), but I was just thinking that I was shopping the other day and I got a few presents for people that are GAA related that might be of use to people, as well as the fact that other people are having problems with the season ticket.

    Hurling Master
It's 6 x 5 foot net that can be adjusted to varying angles and is also secured to the ground, seems to be a great training aid. I bought it in a sports shop in Ennis for €65 and it's for my godson.

    The Parish - Christy O'Connor
This was sports book of the year and is supposed to be an excellent read, it's about the importance of the GAA Club to individual people. I used to be friends with Christy when I was in college and enjoy all his pieces that he does, the book on goalkeepers was very good a few years back. Bought it in his parents shop in Ennis for €18.

    Misc. Clare GAA Stationary
We do a secret Santa thing in work, considering that I work from home a lot I thought it was an excuse for me to buy myself something, but no unfortunately, so I bought €10 worth of GAA branded Clare GAA stationary (notebook, refill pad, binder and pencils) in Tesco.

    "My First Hurley"
Bought this for my wife's godson, it's a small hurley painted and varnished, he's being brought up in Kerry so I have to make sure he gets some input into hurling :) It was €13 in a sports shop in Ennis.

    Second Skin
Under armour type stuff, fancy vest really :) I used to swear by it when I played rugby, my nephew is starting to play more and more in winter time (under 14s) and is a good footballer so needs something like this. €25 in Ennis.

    Nike Tracksuit
I work in Limerick, there has to be a tracksuit somewhere ;) €40 in Lifestyle sports, for my other nephew.

The Sam 2010 Championship 4 game discs include the Meath-Louth match,Dublin-Tyrone,Kildare-Down and Dublin-Cork matches in their entirety.

I preferred the highlights dvd from 2004-2009 but the aforementioned DVD is a good buy if you have the time over Xmas to watch it.

Dan the Mans book or Damien Tiernans book on Waterford hurling.

    The Waterford hurling dvd

all coming to my house this christmas plus Christy O´Connors book.

& if you haven´t already read them I would Highly recommend "the unconquerable Keane" & "My Father, a hurling revolutionary" 2 great books that will delight hurling fans & indeed most sports fans anywhere not just in the Deise.

Looking forward to getting a few things off santa next week. Number 1 on my list is the 'Year til Sunday' DVD, saw it in the shop and explicitly said that I wanted it.

Also, the Christy O'Connor book, must be doing well enough, Easons in Dundrum were sold out of it. Bought the Dan book for my brother for his birthday a few weeks ago, so I'll shortly be robbing that back:cool:

Also, ordered 2 Cultec hurleys, looking forward to giving them a go in the Stephen's Day 'Married v Singles'.
