I have a Warrior Country Stove No 7 that needs a new grate.

I've contacted the manufacturer & had no joy with the stoveshop.ie. Anyone any idea where I might find a round grate to fit this stove or somewhere that might make one for me?

All help is much appreciated :)

Sorry can't help but have you consider an Iron Monger/Steel works? i am sure they could make something up in cast Iron if you brought the grate with you?

As an aside, i wondered about pot belly stoves? can you use them indoors? I've only ever seen them in workshops etc. I assumed they are not sealed well and therefore would release some smoke?

Thanks, I'm hoping to find a replacement grate if possible because the existing one has disintegrated! If I can't I will try an ironmonger and hope they can work off dimensions, any suggestions on where to find a decent one?

It's not a bad stove & has worked fine for us indoors. Sizewise it isn't what I'd have picked if I were installing a stove but it was in the house when we bought it :) It gives great heat though, the dogs are lost without it!

The only issues we've had with it smoking is if the vent yoke at the back (baffle?) isn't open when first lighting it and one memorable occasion where a crow decided to build a nest in the pipe.

I was curious as i love the look of them and i also heard they release fantastic heat. What neck of the woods are you RE recommending an Iron Monger?

In addition, have you tried kiely stoves in Cork? they specialize in pot belly stoves and may just be able to help. It will really depend on how old your stove is in relation to parts availability, in fact they have come down so much in price it may work out cheaper to replace it but wait and see. I know a fantastic guy in Iron works but he is based in cavan, I will PM his details if you want, there is also a company just outside Tullamore.

First thing to do is check kiely stoves, goggle search them they have a big website!

Any decent welder will make one from rebar. Rebar should withstand the heat better than mild-steel.
I am looking for a small circular grate ... 7 3/4" seems to be the size for an 8" space. €40 seems a bit steep though. If anyone can help there, I would appreciate it.
