Boiler Pump

I moved into a newly built house two years ago and mine friend moved into one in the same estate two months later. She told me yesterday that her boiler was playing up and she had no heat. A plumber was coming to look at it last night and this morning she told me that she has to get a new pump for the boiler. I am now worried that the same is going to happento my boiler.

Does anyone know how exactly the pump can break after only two years and also how much do they cost to be replaced.

    Thanks.

well depending on the pump size etc. it could be anything from about £40-90 for the pump plus fitting, hr or 2 at most.

2 years for a pump to fail is a bit fast but not impossible, some pumps last 2-3 years and others could last 8-10years+

if the system is full of sludge a pump failure is imminent. just because theirs failed doesnt mean yours will. How much did they pay to have it fixed?
