What happened to all the money raised for the previous air ambulance,
Seems like a bit of a Joke really:mad:

Interesting site, lacks on detail though.

Anyone here connected with the organisation?

Are these the same guys who spent the bulk of funds they raised on '' administration '' ? If so , I thought they were being investigated by the UK watchdog ( they were based in Northern Ireland if I recall ).

Again this "Air Ambulance" comes out saying that they will be working in conjunction with the HSE Ambulance Service and responding to emergency calls. I would ask that somebody official from Air Ambulance Ireland come on and show evidence of this HSE NAS support, because they appear to be the only ones that know about this 'Support'...!
Before I start donating my hard earned cash through their 'Donation' links....!!

I might add that the HSE National Ambulance Service have a very good working module with the Irish Coast Guard and the Irish Air Corp where the Ambulance Service regularly call on their support with emergency calls, serious trauma scenes, medical evacuation and emergency and routine patient transfers within Ireland and also to the UK.

You know they don't know their arse from their elbow when the website reads things like:

"Essentially, the air ambulance service deals with trauma cases such as stroke victims"

and have clearly "photoshoped" pictures from UK airambulances and crews, pretending to be Irish!!!

Now don't get me wrong, I'm the first person to stand up and shout the need for a proper air ambulance service, but by GOD please leave it to the professionals.

I agree......sort out the road ambulances first (no offence intended to any service) and then move to air ambulances. I never believe these "charities".

I'll let this thread go for a while.....however I am skeptical of this "service".....so I may close it instead of advertising yet another money making racket for the directors.

Anyone officially from the service may contact by pm

This old turkey still knocking around......... Very clever use of grammar to avoid suggesting that there is any definite usage of this service by any emergency agency in Ireland. There are service level agreements which provide 24/7 air transport in Ireland available to the HSE ambulance service and facilities for both inter facility and from scenes of incidents.

Can't really see the need for another service, or the diversion of funds from other more worthwhile efforts.

    Keep well
