Alloy wheel question

    Sorry folks this is a bit vague but someone may have a simple answer.

    My mate is sorting some part worn winter tyres and wheels for the car. I've not seen these and i'll need to pick them up on a flying visit to Newry on Sat morning.

    I'm just wondering would alloy wheels from a b5/5.5 Passat fit a B6 Passat

    What year passats are we talking about?? the new passats have 16 inch wheels and the older model has 15 inch. I went out to a breakdown during the week and a guy smashed 2 tyres on his 09 passat so used his spare and the wife spare form her 05 passat and the wheel was too small and was rubbing against the rear brake disc causing the car to lock up and bellow out smoke

    Mine is an 06 Passat I assume the alloys are from an older model. He said they were actually from an Audi so I assume they are 16 inch as well.

    They are going on the front of the car only. If it ends up they don't fit I can give them back
