So my new funky bob is really hard to manage.. I am tempted to look into the 12 week Blowdry.. Until i read somewhere online that it's banned?!

I have dry hair so I only need to wash it every 5 days or it gets really dry. Maybe the 12 week Blowdry's a waste for someone like me.. I have wavy hair. Now that I have the bob it takes a LOT more effort to dry & get the waves out etc... Any opinions from anyone that knows a bit more about the 12 week Blowdry would be really appreciated..

I suppose if I only wash it once a week it'd be a bit extravagant to have it done..

whatever chemicals used are meant to be severe and not a good idea.

Don't know much about it but there was a thread a few days ago saying some places offer one that's not banned.. Different chemicals or something!

The HSE banned the 12 week blowdry because it contains formaldehydes which have been linked to certain cancer!

The 12 week blowdry is supposed to be chemical free and only contain keratin which is protein but if thats the case there shouldn't be chemicals in it!

I would try going to your local salon and explain that you can't manage your hair and see what they recommend you to use.

Not sure about the 12 week blowdry but i have used a perm to straighten my hair. My mam used to be a hairdresser and they done this all the time, basically instead of putting the hair into curlers you just keep combing it straight, lasts until it grows out. You can buy a perm lotion in the chemist for less than €10 and its easy to do. I have wavy hair and this worked great and made my hair much less frizzy too.
