Can solicitors advertise?

    I'd love it if someone could clear this up for me. What are the restrictions on solicitors advertising in terms of print, radio and the internet. Is it the case that they can only offer legal services but not name the actual types of services?

    Also is the display of prices allowed in advertising? I never seem to recall seeing a solicitor advertising their prices for basic services- is there an embargo on doing so? Finally if anyone could point me to the actual legislation/rules of the game I'd really appreciate it :)
