...as for radio controlled precision ...

My radio controlled alarm clock played a dirty trick on me this morning. At some stage during the night, the time had reset itself to two hours earlier and the fecking alarm dutifully kicked me out of bed at 04:45 am.

Now, I'm not a morning person at the best of times and certainly not at that hour of the day, so robot-mode kicked in and I just got up, walked around like a zombie, stuck the kettle on, etc ...until I looked at my watch

Had to switch the computer on then for a second opinion, the computer also said 04:50 so I crawled back into bed.
Not without putting the alarm forward two hours of course ...wouldn't want to be late for work, would we.

About 20 mins later I woke up again for some reason, looked at the clock and the little f^&* had re-set itself to the correct time. So I had to reset the alarm again to the proper time ...all in all, not a good start to the day.

Anybody ever experienced something like this with their radio controlled "timepiece" ?

Yep. Once on my PC a few years ago. I've heard it happen with others too. Stick to high quality chronometer clockwork I say :D

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
