E85 Flexi Fuel Converters - Help!

For the past 2 years I've been running my Nissan Almera (2000, new model) on Bioethanol. It runs perfectly on this fuel and I've been very happy with it - that is till I just heard that the government has decided to cancel its excise duty derogation on Bioethanol. As a result Maxol, the main provider in Ireland can no longer afford to produce it in Ireland and will no longer be available from January 2011.

Anyway, my problem is that my car is not running well at all on regular Unleaded. I just filled the tank (costing me an extra 20 quid than it would on E85) and the car cut out twice on the M50 in rush hour. I've had this problem since I've installed the converter but was told by the suppliers that it shouldn't happen and I pretty much must be imagining it.

I'm not mechanically minded so excuse my ignorance, but it feels like the engine cannot get enough fuel the keep it ticking over when slowed down or stopped. As soon as I press the clutch the Rev's shoot down to zero. Unless I keep revving the engine it just cuts out. Even while driving hard the car stutters and chokes. Could this just be dirt or could it be that the converter is not installed properly?

Is there is anyone out there, preferably in Dublin, or Cork, that would be able to remove the converter for me? Or anyone who might know what the problem is or have had a similar situation?

Thank you! Sorry for the long post.
