Fender telecaster blacktop

Hi,

Has anyone played this guitar?

How did you find its build quality.

Thinking about getting one and switching the bridge pickup to X500s or X2Ns or something. Any reason why i shouldnt do this?

played one in musicmaker, meh.

they're not the best, the squier classic 50's tele's are much better.

but if you're looking for one with humbuckers, i don't think you'll find many in and around 600.

i played a blacktop JAG in musicmaker ...it was nice!!!...really good quality ( same pickups and quality as a blacktop tele id say )....i loved it soo much that ...put it this way ...i cant wait till christmas hahaha ..... i hope i help ...btw i did see a couple of blacktop teles in musicmaker last weekend ...emm a black one ( rosewood ) ..a silver one ( maple ) ..and a red one ( rosewood and VERY cool ) ....nice guitar .....im also love the strats ...ive not seen one yet though

Yeah if i get it, im getting the candy-apple red with the maple neck.

Around 600 euro id imagine.

If your in the market for something in this line ,consider a peavey t-60.
It will wipe the floor with any tele, strat or les paul for that matter
I cant stress enough how good these are!

I went in and played the telecaster blacktop and decided it was a piece of crap.

I then went to another guitar shop and wailed on a schecter pt and decided that was the bomb.

Schecter are great guitars and reasonably priced. Thats 2 I have now.

I think the best guitar in the blacktop range is the jaguar ....I got mine in music maker and love it
