bucket seats

    :confused: i am buying bucket seats tonight so quick help will be appreciated. just i was wondering im buying ractive bucket sats with no rails, the came out of a pug 106 afaik and i want to fit them to my civic coupe. I know ill have to weld them into the fframe but is it possible????.

    I don't know if welding them will conform to safety standards TBH, you may need to get custom rails made up. I know Ice Tronix make custom rails for Recaro seats, so I'm sure they'd be able to help you out. They're about €120 AFAIK

    I wouldn't recommend welding at all, fairly certain it breaches safety regulations like Graham says and wont pass the NCT, you could also be looking at invalidating your insurance if you weld the seats on.

    Again as Graham says get yourself a set of custom rails.

    I got bucket seats last march best bet is to get a frame made where the existing holes are and weld that to the seat. When come NCT time you can unscrew them and put in the originals

    try the seats first some of the cheaper makes will cripple you if you have to sit in them for any lenght of time
