A brand new shower has been installed and all that needs to be done is connect it at the board
Can some body tell me can you put the Rcbo directly onto the buzz bar and the live and neutral into the top of it or would I need 6square tails going in the bottom aswel

Usually the pre-circuit wiring in the board (wiring say on the bottom of the mcb's) is done in 10 square but 6 square will be fine if thats what goes on to the shower. If 10 square has been put in to the shower then definatly do 10 square for the pre circuit wiring. Take your live from the bottom of any of the other mcb's or from the top of your main 63amp mcb presuming that is not the side coming from the meter. Sometimes people mix them up when installing the boards. Just knock it off and check which side is dead. Should be the top anyway. Take your neutral from the main neutral busbar. Should be able to identify this by the main 16 square neutral coming from the meter.

Well if there is a spare piece on the end of the live busbar that goes along in the other breakers then you can just put that into the bottom and forget about running the piece of live wire to it. If it doesn't reach then use wire. If your going to use it then make sure you cut off the excess of it. It only needs to into the bottom left side terminal of the rcbo. The bottom right side is for the neutral from the main neutral bar.

Ok so for get the live from the mob or the 63 amp breaker will the busbar be able to carry enough current for the 40 amp Rcbo.

I'm still closing this thread, not because anyone here is or is not quallified to do the job, but to prevent someone who is not from reading it and thinking that this is a job they can do themselves. :)
