A broken tooth had me back at the dentist for the first time in years and got a bit of shock at the cost and the amount of work I need. So in the process of getting a crown on a molar at the moment.

I have some bone erosion and need gum treatment which was described as intense cleaning by the hygienist, which will take place over 4 sessions, each session will require working on a quarter of the teeth and will require the gums to be numbed.

The cost of each session is €160 (€640 in total) this seems expensive for what seems to be a really good clean, is there anything else involved in gum treatment?
