Since this is the festive period the Irish Stammering Association have today started the 12 Days of Stammering over on their Facebook page.

Over the next 12 days starting today you can challenge yourself in a number of different ways to do with stammering, and maybe have some fun and make new friends through it too.

For Day 1 the challenge is Eye Contact - try and maintain eye contact with people you speak to, even if you encounter a block keep eye contact and work through it.

The Facebook page can be accessed here, you don't need to be a member of Facebook to participate, but to post a comment on the wall you will need to.
Each day the challenge will be posted on the Facebook page, Twitter account and on here.

    Feared Situation (Point 2*)

Enter a situation you might sometimes avoid. Have fun with it. :)

*Using a scale 1-10, 1 being least feared and 10 being most feared.

    Making Contacts and Connections

For today make contact with someone who stammers. It may be someone you know well or maybe not so well. Give them a call, text message, Facebook message, Tweet or whatever you like. Tell them about this event :)

Let us know below or over on our Facebook page how you did :)
