    Hiya,

This is very important, I am buying a car for my gf as a surprise xmas gift. However my usual mechanic is gone away for xmas so is there any competant mechanics here who want to check out a car for me? I already viewed one yesturday but need abit of an expert eye to check it over before handing over the money

    Thanks

What car is it? If you don't find a mechanic, an enthusiast would be your best bet. Even at that, an enthusiast is probably a better option ;)

If you have a "usual" mechanic i think you should buy yourself a car for xmas :P

See if you can get talking to Conor in Scully Automotive - they are based in Clontarf I think.

I used to work with him before he went back on the spanners. He knows his stuff and looks after my motors.

    +1 for that
I recently moved to Cabinteely but still go back to Scully Automotive for all services & tires. They are great. I usually deal with Jim, but any of them are great.

Do you reckon he would look the car over for me at the sellers address?
