Conspiracy theories you think are valid and those you think are not

Just to get a feel for where people stand, I'm wondering what CTs people here might have some validity and those which they think are ridiculous, and why in each case?

I'll start off with a few:

CTs that I think are totally valid:

Not sure here. Some years ago I would have said that the archaeology of ancient Egypt/Incas etc. was suspect, that there may have been another older civilisation behind these that is lost to history. Not so sure today though.

CTs that may have something to them/where the official story is suspect:

9/11 - There are lots of unanswered questions. That's not to say that I believe it was an inside job or whatever, but I certainly can see why people are bothered about how the buildings fell.

    CTs that are plainly ridiculous:

Anything involving lizards, Rothschilds, any huge conspiracy that would involve thousands being in on it (like the Moon Landings). You just couldn't get tens of thousands of people to keep their mouths shut, and people know that too.

Anyone else want to have a go?

I just have to say on this what about the Manhattan Project, there was thousands of people invloved in working in it but no one let it spill, and (i think) hundreds of people were displaced and they kept it quiet.
So under the right conditions yes you could get tens of thousands of people to keep their mouths shut

    No-one let it spill?

    John Cairncross
    Donald Maclean
    Klaus Fuchs
    Theodore Hall
    David Greenglass
    Allan Nunn May
    Bruno Pontecorvo
    and the rest

Given that it took the soviets four years to catch up on atomic weapons, you'd have to be dubious about the efficiency of the secrecy involved.

Not really sure where to post this, but I'm just in the middle of reading this book, about how American Military Intelligence were behind, and propagated, most of the stories behind UFO conspiracies, including Roswell and Mesa etc.

An interesting tale in itself, and an eye-opener to the lengths the various agencies were/are prepared to go to.

    Highly recommended.

Many thousands of people keep military secrets, secrets about area 51, they kept secrets about operation paperclip etc, list goes on. Why ?... fear of punishment or death. Maybe military staff and better secret keepers to civilians. :)

There is at least some truth in most CT's, imo.

Hi folks - the original idea of this thread is not to debate theories, but just to outline where you stand on them. We can have separate threads to get into discussions about the theories themselves.

Here it would be good if you just outline:

CTs that I think are totally valid:

CTs that may have something to them/where the official story is suspect:

    CTs that are plainly ridiculous:

And maybe explain in a couple if lines your reasoning if you like.

    CTs that I think are totally valid;

9/11 - Defiantly more to it than is being let on, i.e. tower 7 - no way that 'just collapsed from heat' or whatever bulls**t they are saying.. look at it! Not a hope! Finding hijackers passport at site, hijackers alive that are clueless to situation, bin laden visiting us mil. hospital etc etc.

JFK - Again I do not believe the official story, apparently JFK signed a presidential order to dispose of the fed. reserve. Also that famous speech he gave about secret societies!

Denver airport - now that is scary - bilderberg maybe!

CTs that may have something to them/where the official story is suspect

Moon landing - more to it I reckon. The difference in lighting in pictures, the radiation that is supposedly to severe for humans to travel through on the way to the moon.. laymans terms i know.

    CTs that are plainly ridiculous

Ha where to start.. David Icke is fairly mad I think, Clinton among others hunting people for fun in one of his books 'robots guide to freedom'

Seeing threads about Kanye West and Rihanna devil worshipers!
