Okay I'm thinking of buying an iPhone 4.. I'm currently with vodafone and have never had an iphone before..

Now I've been researching the providers and trying to figure out which offers the best value but it doesn't seem to be very straight forward..

I dont send an awful amount of texts nor do I spend alot of time talking on the phone.. I would be using it to store my music and taking pictures, videos etc...

So would anybody who has bought an iphone previously or is familiar with the pricing strategies be able to reccomend a provider and a price plan for me??

cheapest is three but they have a woeful service for most, vodafone are just rubbish altogether, i'm with o2 nearly a year now and have never had a problem and rarely lose signal

    Hi,

Thinking of buying an iphone, only problem is that most of my contacts are meteor. I'd go onto meteor bill pay tomorrow if they had an iphone.

So, Any plans for the iphone to become available on meteor. Since all other networks have it now, i cant understand why meteor have not embraced it.

    Cheers.

meteor arent going to sell the iphone, ya could buy direct from apple for €599/€699 for the 16gb/32gb and go on a sim only plan with meteor or any provider

Be prepared to pay through the nose for data on O2 prepay. They are extremely uncompetitive in this area at 99c/day and no inclusive data bundles or add-ons available which means you pay over €30 some months on data alone!

I'm with Vodafone with an iPhone 4 and apart from their crapheap of a website, I've had no issues.

as guil says, Meteor will not be stocking the iPhone anytime in the foreseeable future. they are commiting themselves to the Android market.

No problems with 3. Think the statement about a woeful service for most is a bit over stated. I would imagine most people are not getting a 'woeful' service.

theres only being a handful of users saying they had a good service with 3 but 100's with terrible problems

People are always quicker to complain than to praise. Myself and 3 friends have an iPhone on 3, spread all over Dublin and not one of us has had any problems.
