Was just wondering if anybody knows if Universities in the ROI are classed as being UK institutions when applying for British Universities.I,m applying for an MSC in Aberdeen and it says you require two referees if applying from a non-UK institution.Apologies if this has been covered before!

Generally speaking, no they aren't. However, the uni in question may be lenient on the subject so you should probably ask them directly for a definitive answer.

Just get two referees, it can only help your application. One referee could be say your Final Year Project or dissertation supervisor and the other could be the head of the department you are in perhaps.
