Macs tend to be about the same price everywhere. Best bet if you are looking save a bit of cash is to go for a refurb. Discounts of up to 20 percent, you get the same warranty as a new machine and can you get Applecare anytime within the first year if you wish. Only thing you need to watch out for with refurbs is physical defects, but they are usually as good as new.

That's a MacBook Pro and it converts to €1,046 plus shipping as against Apple's Irish price of €1,149 including shipping - not much of a saving really for the extra hassle although it undercuts Apple's own UK price by £100.
