Power cuts, South Co. Sligo

    Sligo / Roscommon border
    Just had power off for about 1 second. Same thing happened last Thursday I think.

    Anyone else or is it just me?

    It happened here, too. The slightest blip and the Sky box goes off but this time everything went off for a second. It did happen one day last week, too, around lunchtime.

    Electricity been going off and on like a yo-yo for the past half hour. :(

    It is high voltage line protection system. When it sees a short circuit it disconnects the line quickly a couple of times. If the fault clears the power comes back on.

    It is called a recloser I think.
