VAT Exemption

    Hi,

I am looking to start a business and form a company soon.
I plan to export 90-95% of my stock outside of Ireland.

Do I have to charge VAT or would I be better off in getting a VAT Exemption Cert (13B)?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks and Kind Regards,
    David

    Hi

If you are selling business to business you will not have to charge VAT so long as you get the customers VAt number.

You will only need to get a VAT 13B from the point of view of cash flow as you would otherwise have to incur VAT and claim it back on your VAT return.

    Hope this helps
