For what it's worth - my HCup Gameweek 3 accumulator reads the following
    Friday
    Glasgow vs Toulouse - Toulouse

    Saturday
    1:30pm
    Ulster vs Bath, - Ulster
    Perpignan vs Leicester, - Leicester
    Aironi vs Biarritz, - Biarritz

    3pm
    Scarlets vs Treviso, - Scarlets

    3:30pm
Saracens vs Racing Metro, - Saracens

    5:45pm
    Northampton vs Cardiff - Northampton
    Castres vs Edinburgh - Castres

    Sunday
    1pm
    Munster vs Ospreys - Munster
Dragons vs Wasps (being played at Cardiff City Stadium) - Wasps

    3pm
Clermont vs Leinster - Don't like betting against my side, but not confident we'll win, so a compromise of Leinster (+9)!!!
London Irish vs Toulon - Toulon

For those interested, that accumulator is worth 81/1 I think!!! Toulon, Leicester and unfortunately Leinster (+9) lengthen the odds a fair bit!

Euan Murray has left Northampton due to a lack of gametime. No indication as to where he'll go.

    Leinster, please.

In all seriousness though, Leinster really missed a beat with this because surely this has been coming since last season and when you look at all our emergency signing from earlier this year we could have done a lot worse than Murray.

Waste a Monday. What if the ML/HC Final was on a Sunday? A player that can only play 2/3 of your matches shouldn't have top bucks wasted on him.

I went with Clerc for first touchdown @ 9's

True. We don't need him now. Just thinking of all the average players we recruited while he was unhappy at the Saints. Surely we could have coaxed him out a few months back.

Saw the half time score from the match on the news, and said "about a point a minute, I'll flick over for the second half, should be good - plus we'll get the BP win."

The second half was 3-0 to Toulouse...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    That's Toulouse through then IMO.

Wouldnt be much use in a crunch match against Clermont. As an aside, its a fooking joke clubs give in to him.

He's the worlds most overrated prop. When was his last BIG performance? Saints are better off with what they have.

    Pool 4:
    Biarritz 9
    Bath 6
    Ulster 5
    Aironi 0

    Ulster:
15 Adam D'Arcy, 14 Andrew Trimble, 13 Nevin Spence, 12 Paddy Wallace, 11 Simon Danielli, 10 Ian Humphreys, 9 Ruan Pienaar,
8 Pedrie Wannenburg, 7 Chris Henry, 6 Stephen Ferris, 5 Dan Tuohy, 4 Johann Muller (captain), 3 BJ Botha, 2 Nigel Brady, 1 Tom Court.

Replacements: 16 Andi Kyriacou, 17 Paddy McAllister, 18 Bryan Young, 19 Tim Barker, 20 Willie Faloon, 21 Paul Marshall, 22 Ian Whitten, 23 David McIlwaine.

    Bath:
15 Jack Cuthbert, 14 Matt Carraro, 13 Matt Banahan, 12 Shontayne Hape, 11 Tom Biggs, 10 Sam Vesty, 9 Michael Claassens (captain),
8 Simon Taylor, 7 Lewis Moody, 6 Andy Beattie, 5 Danny Grewcock, 4 Stuart Hooper, 3 David Wilson, 2 Lee Mears, 1 David Flatman.

Replacements: 16 Pieter Dixon, 17 David Barnes, 18 Duncan Bell, 19 Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe, 20 Ben Skirving, 21 Mark McMillan, 22 Olly Barkley, 23 Nick Abendanon.

You'd fancy Biarritz to get 9/10 points against Aironi over the 2 weeks so they will top the pool. Normally 20 points will get you through so Ulster really need to win their remaining games. A win and denying Bath a BP would put Bath out who still have to go to Biarritz.

I hope Grewcock behaves himself.

Bath going to go 10-0 up. And all from what should have been an Ulster try. Length of pitch run after interception.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,287 ✭✭✭crisco10

Delighted to see Spence starting. Here's hoping for a good solid performance from the young fella.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,037 ✭✭✭conf101

Missed the yellow card, what was it for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

I just started the stream, seemed to be playing highlights rather than real time. Terrible intercept to give away.

    HT scores
    Aironi 11 - 12 Biarritz, 2 tries for Biarritz
    USAP 6 - 9 Leicester
    Ulster 13 - 15 Bath :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Ulster 13 - 18 Bath, Barkley penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Ulster have only made 19 tackles so far!

How much ball did they have in the first half?

Ulster blow a certain try, they take a penalty in front of the posts after advantage was played.

    16-18 now

    Latest Scores:
    Aironi 18 - 17 Biarritz

Perpignan got a try right before half time so it was 13-9 at half time. Ref also yellow carded both hookers at together when Perp had repeated scrums on the Leicester line.

Ulster match v. exciting! Ulster have made a few too many errors but still only 2 points in it!

He did exactly the same thing again and got away with it this time.
Game full of mistakes, Ulster have thrown aaway two certain tries, one leading directly to 7 points for Bath. Bath handed Ulster their try via interception also.

Bath just murdered another run in by fly kicking directly into Trimbles hand. Good game though all the same.

Kickable peno chance now for Ulster to go a point ahead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

Humphreys penalty! Ulster 19-18 Bath with 20 minutes remaining.

Willie Faloon on for Ulster. Bath bring on three substitutes in the pack.

Pass before that did look slightly forward though. 19-18 Ulster now. Exciting end in prospect.

This was hilarious, Lewi warns both hookers to keep their heads down or he'll get 2 different ones. The next scrum pops up (looked like Schuter had nowhere to go but up to me due to pressure).

True to his word, yellows them both and asks for 2 new hookers for the reset scrum.

    Which promptly pops up!

    Aironi 18-24 Biarritz :(

Ulster pounding the Bath line atm.

  • Subscribers Posts: 16,614 ✭✭✭✭copacetic

Nice finish by Porical for Perpignan after it looked to have broken down in midfield. Moody could have gone there for Bath imo, right in front of posts and off his feet. Still peno to Ulster 10 out. Kicked. Nice run by Ferris to get it going.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    Ulster pen straight in front.

Humphreys scores, 22-18. 15 minutes to go.

    22-18 Ulster now.

  • bizarrely no yellow card there for the Bath player.

    Ulster playing great pressure rugby.

    Ferris is The Man. Capitalised

    Latest Scores
    Ulster 22-18 Bath
Aironi 25-24 Biarritz :D (Biarritz have scored 4 tries)
    USAP 18-16 Leicester

  • Also, where are all the Ulster supporters? All at the game would make sense. But I'm disappointed the game doesn't have its own match thread!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

There's very few Ulster supporters who post here unfortunately.

Hence no Ulster team thread either.

they need to use ferris more often.

    Aironi 25-27 Biarritz. :(

    Great defence from Ulster!

  • Who else would it be to make that tackle.

Ferris is one driven bastard. Just does so much right!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 741 ✭✭✭damianmcr

    Ulster supporter here:)

  • Ulster's midfield defence has been pretty lucky, I think they're leaving huge holes as they press up, but Bath have dropped balls/made mistakes due to the pressure.

Bit more confidence, thinking and a pass sticking and Bath could've taken advantage two or three times.

That being said, the defensive pressure has been outstanding! They're making Bath make mistakes.

Why did Humphreys kick that? Hold onto the ball! Why do all Irish teams do this all the time??

Ulster unlucky not to get the turnover there

    Bath on the Ulster line!

    Perfect decision
