Now that a brief thaw has set in, has anyone played or planned to play Rathsallgh recently or soon? Dying for a game and no other week-end open days within sight...but being in Wicklow, I can't imagine it's in great shape...don't mind placing if there's full greens but if there's snow/frost still it's a waste of time!

Why not just ring them and ask what the course conditions are?

I'd imagine it will be in similar shape to what it was last year below when there was snow except the snow was more prolonged this year:slim to none would be my educated guess.

Any patch of grass i've seen this morning and has had at least 2-3 inches of snow on it. If you're after golf this weekend, get down to Lidl and buy one of those simulators.

Not a pretty picture....I'd be reluctant to ring...I imagine they're trying to get as many out as possible and would fabricate liberally to get you to book. Pity, it's quite a nice course but with frost hardened greens, it's mickey mouse stuff

Played it three weeks ago today, was in good enough condition. A little bit soggy in some parts but I find it's nearly always like that even in the summer.

I would say it's still fairly white up there was talking to someone today from Dunlavin and they were saying the thaw has barely set in up there
