Rules update:
Due to popular demand the standard format per match is going to be best of 3 from now on. Anyone who played bo3 in the first gameweeks will have wins counted as 1-0 to keep the map difference consistent with those who did bo1. Loser picks the next map in the series and the same map can't be played twice. The only maps eligible are those that are in the map cycles(that is, all 9 of the 1v1 maps in the cycles and the 3 2v2 maps).

With regard to the results of the first 2 gameweeks, we're still missing one result from most matches. Going to give to the end of this gameweek to get the games in before having to give defaults etc. So try get them played if you can, I'll list the ones we don't have results for yet below. If you have played already just let us know. If you're having trouble contacting your opponents or finding a suitable day to play on get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Once we have the results in for all matches I'll put up a post with the results.

First game I never had a chance, won the second with some early helion harras (nothing beats some good old fashioned drone roasting), 3rd went to Dest, couldn't stop the zerg macro machine, damn mutas!

I propose we scrap this idea of 2v2 completely. I agree it was worth trying it out, but honestly, I get the impression that it is a big chore for 90% of people involved and participation in the tourney will be sustained much easier without having to face into a really annoying 2v2 each week.

No disprespect intended to the organisers in anyway.

PM'd funky, have to withdraw from the tourny. I've too much going on to commit to games, and I'm literally not playing SC2 anymore, just havnt enough itme, so it makes more sense to draft in one of the reserves

It all seems to have gone quiet - presumably that's the effect of players at college et al - but just so you guys know, I'm dropping out of the BSL. No patience for this game anymore.

Can I ask how you have 'lost patience with the game' Is it the ladder, the players or just the game itself?

Am quite unhappy with my recent ladder experiences. Constant all in rushes. I like the game that go on for longer than 15 minutes even if I do lose. At least then I get a 'game' rather than repetitive early build order following!

Think Xmas has ruined a lot of peoples schedule. I myself haven't played in at least 3 weeks. Been very busy with work and then went and injured my mouse hand! Will be another week till my schedule gets back to normal.

Mostly just the ladder & the build orders / balance of the game. Naturally I don't want this to descend into a rant thread, but I just can't stand playing the game anymore. I either get mushed by cheese builds (guaranteed if it's v. Protoss) or mushed by some stupid 1-unit build because I was bracing for the cheese. I end up spending more time trying to react to the other guy than playing my own game (I dunno, maybe I just gotta give up zerg, and go back to Terran).

You can really tell SC2 is made for Professionals sometimes; for normal humans like me, the game can be really unforgiving & unplayable. You need to be at a constant mental level that is just draining at times. And that's not what gaming should be about

To be honest? SC2 right now just isn't FUN.

I played some TF2 yesterday & I had a laugh; the server was relaxed and chatty, I played at my own pace & TF2's a balanced game with few (if any?) exploits. Different genre of course, but I came out of it feeling relaxed, rather than agitated because I didn't scout enough, or build the wrong unit X at the wrong time :rolleyes:

For the love of god, don't play Z then. Tried learning some Z earlier and while it wasn't bad it just... wasn't fun, lol. Strategically challenging, mechanically somewhat demanding but just not fun. Protoss for life!

I actually played a lot of BW and found it way more demanding but funnier too, because several units were viable solutions in each game.

Now it s so repetititve, micro is almost gone, and yea i dont find it thta fun either. I almost never play 1v1 and i gave up laddering due to this. It s not even about the win (i have smthg round 55-60% win ratio vs plati and 55 vs diamond)...
