PayPal - Credit Card Top Up?

    Hi Folks,

Is it possible for an Irish PayPal account to TopUp by credit card? I'm in an awkward situation where I have to refund a buyer, but stupidly PayPal doesn't allow you to use your Credit Card to fund a refund. So I need to get €35 into the account and a bank transfer is going to take days.

    Any ideas?

    ironclaw.

In Paypal did you try to just send money using his email address and ignore refund , just call it ' paying for services '

No it isn't, as 3V is treated like a credit card, and you can't transfer money into your Paypal account from a credit card.

Bad idea, the payment transaction would be separate from the original purchase, so the buyer could still claim a refund. If the refund is already pending in Paypal, then it would remain until the balance is available. Also, the recipient would have to pay fees to receive this payment.

You need to transfer money into your Paypal account in order to process the refund. See the Paypal sticky for how to do this. You cannot use a credit card, or any pre-pay credit card, to do this.

Well, you could pay yourself. Just send an invoice to a different address. You'd take a hit with the fee's though.

I was aware of that. Had a similar incident with a scammer a few years back.
