lagging pipes and water tanks

    may have been asked before

    what's best insulation for the side and top of attic tanks? polystyrene?

    and brass compression throughs and tees-should they be lagged over?

    Standard loftwool insulation would be fine, with a bit of twine or something to keep it on. can be torn / cut to fit around the fittings on the tank.

    If you're tank is mounted less than 300mm from the ceiling below, then make sure that under the tank isn't insulated to allow the heat from downstairs to rise up and prevent the water from freezing
