    Hi All,

Thinking of getting my attic reinsulated and walls pumped using the grant.

Was the grant abolished in the budget or is it still available

    Any changes to it??

    Thanks

The grant is there left intact after the budget 2011

    Cavity €400
    Attic €250
    Ber Cert €100
    total €750

i think he introduced more tax relief up to 10 thousand but did not hear much about that yet

Does anyone have specific info on the 10K income tax relief on insullation. This seems to be separate to and in addition to the SEI grant. What section of what Act is it contained.

I am thinking about doing similar. A friend of mine who has a dormer bungalow got the walls pumped with fibre glass and the attic insulated. The guy who did it took on the complete job, as in, sourcing the grant etc. It was done in a day and he says he cannot believe the difference already! His house is 10 years old. Mine is about 12 years old and I think it would be the way to go. Seemingly, fibre glass more preferable than bead? Just a comment he made. I wouldn't have a clue. I will wait till after the Holidays though!

    Folks,
I am wondering if anybody has an update on the new tax relief budget provisions? Thanks.
