    HI there
I have undertaken a health training course O/S which is not available in Ireland at the moment and would really like to deliver it in Ireland in 2011. Can anyone give me an idea where to go for more information? Or how to get it accredited? Any help is appreciated!

It really depends on how you want to offer it. If you just want to run it as a private provider then all that you may require is permission from the accrediting organisation an compile with their processes.

Contact the organisation that accredits it and see will they assist you in having it accredited in the Republic of Ireland. If it is a European qualification it is more than likely already aligned with the Irish Framework. But you should also contact the National Qualifications Authority and they will determine the level that they will recognise your award which will help you when answering questions from possible students.

However do be aware the Dept of Ed & Skills seems to prefer that public providers select a FETAC qualification where one exists and if a providers wants to offer a non-FETAC qualification there is a justification process to go through and this is tied up with issues regarding funding and capitation.
