I am hoping to qualify for some sort of financial assistance when I go to college. Since the grant has been cut, I have been looking at the All Ireland Scholarship as possibly something that I could apply for. Does anyone know how many points I would need to get in order to qualify for the scholarship?

    Thanks :)

In 2009 people I know people that were awarded it got 540 points plus,I was awarded another of the dept of education scholarships and you'd be looking at 540 and upwards , it takes results of your best five subjects depending on the scholarship.you can't apply for them the department pick the students when the results come out they send out a letter if you're lucky that your name is on the list then they narrow it down.I know that's how it is for the dept of education's own scholarships theres usually only about 15 recipients for each Of those, not too sure how they narrow it down with all ireland scholarships I reckon they just take the top results!
Hope this helps,I was over the moon to be awarded my scholarship it's something to be very proud of,best of luck with the lc!:)
