Just looking at last year's competition, and found this...anyone think we should give it a bash this year, obviously names will have to be changed, as will closing date (Maybe Saturday 5pm) etc...

    Euro Cross Prediction Competition
Thirstywork will be looking to repeat the success from track and field in August to the Country next week. Rules as follows:
You predict where you think each Irish athlete will finish in the Senior races.
You predict where the Irish athletes will finish amongst themselves in the Jun & U23 race (so 1-6)
You predict the Top 3 of the Senior Mens and Womens

    Scoring:

Based on the actual results and finishing spots, you will be allocated scores. So, you predict Cullen as 5th, she gets 9th, you get 4pts. You predict Mulhare as 2nd Irish in U23, he gets 1st Irish, you get 1pt.

The 4 best scorers for you (just like real cross scoring) will count in each category. So 4 best scores from each of Men Snr, U23 & Jun and Women Snr, U23 & Jun (24 scores).

Bonus points awarded for predicting the winners of the Senior Men and Women. -5pts for getting exact place right and -3pt for predicting a podium spot (but not exact position).

Lowest score wins the overall competition.
