    Hi,

I am looking at getting mobile broadband. I am living in Oramore in Galway.

Want to get a mobile broadban option which doesn't involve getting a land line.

    What are the best options?

    thanks in advance

    Martin

There is no "best" when it comes to mobile Internet, except if you test them all yourself, and pick the best for you. What works for me is of no value to you, and won't help you at all.

Check the coverage from all the providers, and if any of them don't cover you, then that's them ruled out. If they do show cover, then that's a start, but cover alone is rather meaningless, as it's possible to have a signal, but no Internet access. The coverage maps are also very optimistic, and you may have no cover even though it is shown. It's also possible for your signal to come and go over the day, leaving you with no service from time to time.

It's a terrible idea to use mobile midband for home use. It's not intended to be used this way. Investigate cable or fixed wireless if getting a phone line is not an option. Consider the phone line too, don't just dismiss it simply because you don't want to have to pay for it.
