Small bit of background on this.

A very good friend of mine is struggling with Lymphoma, a cancerus disease.. Its something he is fighting, and will continue to do so, but as he has said himself, "Its going to kill me Alan".....

We went down to kilkenny with him 1 day to Dave coynes comp, and we had a ball, but during this time we got chatting about giving something back, to those far worse than himself. We spoke about a darts marathon, and i agreed i would go and do it. Well here i am, im going to do it, iv done alot of background checks and i think it is very possible to rasie some money even in this climate we live in.

    My aim

    - 8 man team to attempt the 1 million and 1 record.

“Just to let you all know that our 8 man team broke the 19 year old record held by a pub in Boston USA by throwing 35,698 darts to complete the game. It lasted approx 46 hours non stop and finished with an average of 84.03. 371 maximums recorded and waiting now to have it verified by Guinness World Records.”

    - I would need a venue in the uk (thou he is Irish, we know that if the event is held in the uk, thats where the cash should be based)

    - I would need 8 players (At this moment in time iv got 3) I will also need 2 subs

    - I would need 2 good people to help with admin, emails and the likes, there actually wont be that much work involved, i just need people that would like to help.

    - I would need someone trustworthy with money (i shall approach spaceman about this)

    - I would like this to be a cross forum idea. So this shall also be posted elsewhere.

    - This is ment to be fun, and for charity, but also a realistic attempt at the world record.

    - I would need help trying to get permission (not sure of uk law) of fundraising, or sponsorship of the 8 players involved, also hopefully try and get some sort of a live stream

    - Im hoping this will take place in the months of either july/August

    - All money raised shall go here

Anyone with any ideas to help me here would be greatly appreciated, also anyone with any idea for a venue would also be great, thou iv already spoke to someone regarding this.

Cancer has effected most of us in some way.
