    is it true that you can alter the gore factor or whatever of black ops?

    Brothers are annoying me to find out so they can justify getting it.

    You can in the options but I don't think it will apply in the online multiplayer

    I don't think there's gore in multiplayer at all.

    Yes you can turn the gore off, it will slightly adjust the effects you see for some kill moves and deaths during the singleplayer campaign.

    Have it set to off for my kids and on for myself and most of the gameplay and set pieces are the same.
