Surfing in Glenbeigh, Kerry

    Hi guys, im going to be in Glenbeigh over new years and im just wondering what the surf is like around that area. does it rival the likes of Lahinch and Bundoran? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

    Hey im from glenbeigh. surf any bigger than 3-4 foot generally just closes out.surf there christmas day the last 2 years,was about 3 foot and peeling nicely,no wind. better suited for a longer board but shortboard can be fun as well



    place gets a bit over run around new years when all the kayakers are around

    FYI when a surfer says 3 - 4 ft they usually mean head-high to about 2 ft overhead. Don't ask me to explain it, it just is.
