Where can I get a DSM-IV-TR

    Hi,

I was looking in to purchasing a copy of the DSM-IV-TR, for study purposes, and I found several copies on Amazon.co.uk. Some of the copies are used, but with the delivery rate it is not really worth my while. Rather than buy online, I would prefer to buy the DSM from a book seller in Dublin perhaps. I wonder if anybody could tell me a shop that they know stocks the book? Perhaps one that is reasonably priced.

    Thank you.

I see a copy in Waterstones and H&F in Dublin yeterday, Does it have to be the DSM you can Download the ICD-10 for free.

The medical bookshop on Clarendon St would have it.

I actually have two copies, as I needed it and the ICD for my Masters, I ended up with two as someone ripped out the few pages dealing with alcohol disorders, so if the OP is will to collect he/she can have that one with those few pages missing.

Thank you so much for the offer of a copy, very helpful indeed! But my mother has now decided a DSM is my birthday present, so she wants to know where to get one. I shall direct her to one of the shops mentioned! Thanks for the help.

I am studying Psychology (B.A). I needed some reading during the Christmas holidays, and because our course is modularized, there is little preparatory reading I can do for next semester. So I decided maybe to have a look at the DSM, because from what I have seen from extracts from it in class, I think it would be good to read to keep my mind from fogging up due to lack of activity at Christmas!

Good stuff, I would still suggest that you dowload the free PDF version of the ICD-10 [I presume you know of it, it would be good for you to see the difference. If you have difficulties findinf it give me a shout.

Just to add that copy of the DSM is available for free to any of the users here, it's only missing a few pages on Alcohol disorders. I would perfer collection but I'm based in Louth and working in Dublin so I am prepared to travel a small distance around those areas.
