    In this time of scarcity, I find it shocking that RTÉ can afford to pay for all those graphics they use on TV. Take for instance the advertisement for the Prime Time Special tonight with Miriam O'Callaghan - the amount of frivolous spending on graphics for that advertisement would have been so much it would have been just distasteful. The irony of it though, "The worse budget in the history of the state", and all those over-the-top graphics.

    I mean c'mon RTÉ, "600,000 a year ... and during the boom-time ... 900,000".
    "We pay the license fee". "TASTELESS!!". "Y'ARRGGGHHH"

    They should sticky an r&r access request thread.
    That way the rest of us could get on with trolling each other and getting digs in against minorities on the sly.

    Does anybody else cringe when they say things like "the harshest budget in the history of the state" or "extreme austerity" or "economic misery". :rolleyes:

    I cringe for the fact that there are people in this country who have lived through the 30's, 40's and 50's who might be seeing us call what we have at the moment "severe austerity". It's as though I want them to know that I know that they lived in economic circumstances that are alien to us nowadays and that I know we actually have things really good..or something.
