Problem with apps

I updated 3 of my apps a few days ago and the updates started ( I can see the app with the loading bar empty and waiting written below) but have just froze there. I tried to download the Irish weather app a few mins ago and the same thing has happened. What should I do??? Doesn't help that I am a techno-phobe as well:o:(

Happened me recently too. Turn your phone off/on and then touch the apps that are waiting and they should download again.
